More than 200,000 tourists visit Mount Emei during the Spring festival this year. The accurate number of tourists is 214,389, marking an increase of 12 percent compared with that of last year. The ticket revenue is 26 million yuan, increasing by 9.8 percent on a year basis.

Mount Emei in southwest China’s Sichuan Province is shrouded in ethereal-like sea of clouds recently, giving tourists there a spectacular view. An aerial photo shows the golden peak of the Buddhist statue on the mountain peeking through the clouds, giving the illusion that it’s floating there in the sky.

On December 25, the 18th Mount Emei Snow, Ice and Hot Spring Festival kicks off on the Golden Summit of the mountain. It is organized by Leshan government, Leshan Tourism and Sports Development Committee, Emei Scenic Spot Management Committee and Emei Corporations. The festival will last till the end of February.
