Emei Snow Bud Tea has been listed as a Sichuan Famous Brand. It had previously been selected by consumers as one of the top-ten tea brands in China. The tea is planted at altitudes between 800 and 1200 meters on Mount Emei, a world natural and cultural heritage site.

The culinary event includes several competitions, awards for famous Sichuan dishes, restaurants and cooks, as well as events related to Australian Food Week, Leshan food, and an online component to the food festival. The event started on September 8 and is ongoing through October 8.

Sichuan people are famous for their capability of cooking nice, spicy and healthy food.
