The most convenient way to get to Mount Emei is via the high-speed railway. Tourists can choose between the route that connects Chengdu Shuangliu Airport and the Emeishan station, or the route that connects Chengdu East Railway station to the Emeishan station. Either way the trip takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Leshan high speed railway station is located in the downtown district Qingjiang new district, the total length of 1.9 km. and is a junction of Chengmianle special line and Chenggui high-speed railway. It is 140 km from Chengdu East Station in the north, west to Emei mountain railway station 30 km. It belongs to the Chengdu railway bureau Chengdu train operation depot.

Leshan station was opened on December 20, 2014 with a Chengmianle passenger transport line, launch inter-city trains to Chengdu, Mianyang, Jiangyou, and Mount Emei.
