Taking High Speed Rail to Emei Mountain

On May 22, more than 200 netizens took the China Railway High-speed train (CRH) from Beijing, Zhejiang, Hubei, Hunan and Guangdong to travel to Emei mountain in Western China's Sichuan province.

The travellers from around China were invited by the China Travel Network Media Alliance and the Sichuan Emei Mountain Scenic Area to visit the site as part of the "Taking CRH to Visit Emei Mountain" activity.

Guests were warmly welcomed by local people, invited to enjoy the classic Sichuan opera "Face Off," and to watch local dance performances such as "Emei in the Misty Rain" and "Yong Chun." Afterwards, the guests also had a chance to show off their own talents.

From the Emei Mountain gondola, guests passed through the clouds and took in a bird's view of the area. They arrived at the peak and paid hommage to Buddha, praying for their good fortune.
