Mount Emei to Host 2nd International Tea Culture Expo

From July 6 to 9, the 2nd Mount Emei International Tea Culture Expo will be held in Emeishan city. It focuses on tea culture, tea products and tea tourism. The expo is expected to present the rich tea culture at Mount Emei and to promote tea products.

Sichuan is regarded as the hometown of tea. It has a history of 2000 years in tea planting. Famous tea categories from Emei include Emei Xueya and Zhuyeqing. The expo has a theme of ‘Tea in Leshan, Connection around the World’. It aims to become a high-end exchange platform for tea culture and products, as well as tea tourism. One of its events, Trade Fair for Spring Tea at Mount Emei is ongoing in Emeishan city.

Major events at the expo include tea culture presentation, ‘One Belt One Road’tea forums and seminars, shows of tea art, zen tea and tea clothing, professional evaluation of tea products, sets, houses and travel routines, the annual meeting of World Tea Tourism Union, recommendation of tea culture leisure travel routines and tea businessmen travel routines, as well as tea online trading.

The expo will cover an area of 28000 square meters. Tea products will be shown at the expo include tea, tea food, tea sets, tea clothing, tea packaging, tea house decorations, tea paintings, tea e-commerce and tea travel products.
