Mt. Emei Scenic Area is close to four major airports in Chengdu, Mianyang, Yibin and Chongqing, and there are plenty of domestic and international flights every day . Mt. Emei is just 120 km away from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (“Shuangliu Airport”) and it only takes 90 minutes by driving on the expressway. There is no bus directly from Shuangliu Airport to Mt. Emei, but you can take a taxi which will cost you RMB200-300. You may also take the airport shuttle bus to Minjiang Hotel located in the downtown area of Chengdu City, which will take you RMB10, or spend RMB40-50 to take a taxi. Then take a 10-minute walk from Minjiang Hotel to Xinnanmen Tourist Transport Center, and take a tourist bus directly to Mt. Emei Scenic Area. You may also share a taxi with another three tourists, with RMB60 for each person.
