Hui Dou Ba

Hui Dou Ba is an endemic species of Mt. Emei, and has been used as a folk prescription against diabetes for a period of time. It is made up of spider webs built in tea trees at 1200 meters high in Mt. Emei. As it helps to lower blood glucose, it is used to treat diabetes. 50-100 grams of Hui Dou Ba must be wrapped in gauze first, and then placed into the cooking pot to be boiled. After the water is cleared, the decoction will ready. One course of treatment consists of six decoctions and six courses shall be applied. It should be noted that Hui Dou Ba cannot be administered with fat meat, Sichuan pepper and sugar.
